Me Myself receives Silver Peacock Award in India
Pongpat Wachirabunjong, director of Mono Film’s touching romantic drama Me Myself starring Ananda Everingham and Chayanan Manomaisantiphap received the honor of winning the 2nd most important award of the International Film Festival of India in GOA called the “Silver Peacock Award” for Most Promising Director on December 3, 2007. The festival was held from November 23 –Dec. 3, 2007 in Goa, India and this award acts as the director’s first international award for his directorial debut of this title. The award was received by Mr. Somkiat Vituranich, director of the film Mid Road Gang (Ma Mha 4 Khaa Khrap along with a generous cash prize including a trophy and official certificate.
Other international festival news :
Me Myself has also been has been selected for the World cinema Section (non competitive main section) of the 12th International Film Festival of Kerala to be held from the 7th-14th Dec, 2007 at Trivandrum, Kerala.
In addition, Me Myself will also be screened at the 5th CIFF (Chennai International Film Festival) scheduled from 14th to 23rd Dec 2007 and the Pune International Film Festival which will be held during the 10th to the 17th of January 2008.

Pongpat Wachirabunjong is scheduled to direct another romantic drama for Mono Film which will start production early next month in January 2008. The new tearjerker called “Happy Birthday” will be the director’s second feature film with the company in which the screenplay will again be written by the well known screenwriter, Kongdej Jaturanrasmee, of the films “Me Myself” and “The Letter”. The director’s new film project remains highly anticipated by audiences who appreciated his first romantic drama “Me Myself”. Stay tuned next month for more news updates on the films progress!

Mono Film exhibits abroad for the month of October 2007
The month of October was quite the busy month for Mono Film overseas. Starting with the Asian Film Market in Busan, Korea from Oct. 8-12, 2007, Mono Film exhibited in a sales office of the Grand Hotel Haeundae. Quickly following, was the TIFCOM in Tokyo from Oct. 22-24, 2007 in the prestigious area of Roppongi Hills. This year would mark the company’s second time attending the small film market although not consecutively. Lastly, the week long American Film Market in Santa Monica, California, where Mono Film exhibited their line-up from Oct. 31-Nov.7.
All three film markets played up to each other in terms of continuing clients from one market to the next. Despite the quietness of the American Film Market this year, Mono Film was able to close deals with a new buyer from New Zealand along with other pending deals.
Overall, Mono Film made fruitful and potential connections with their network of international clients.

Mono Film at the Asian Film Market 2007 in Busan, Korea
Mono Film attended the 2nd Annual Asian Film Market in Busan, Korea as exhibitors among only the few Thai companies present. Mono Film’s sales office was located at the Grand Hotel Haeundae on the 19th floor in sales office #1910 surrounded by other Asian companies from Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam, and Japan.
Mono Film introduced themselves along with their line-up to new Korean companies such as CJ CGV Co., Ltd who posed interest in the adventure-fantasy title Legend of Sudsakorn; Cinema SangSang who posed interest in Mono Film’s epic-adventure Siyama: Village of Warriors; CM Entertainment for Pahuyut: Fighting Beat & Siyama: Village of Warriors; and Premier Entertainment with interest in an older action title The Tiger Blade & the soon-to-be-released martial arts flick Pahuyut Fighting Beat.
SPO Entertainment from Japan returned to assure their interest in the company’s romantic drama Me Myself and has planned to continue negotiations at the TIFFCOM film market between Oct. 22-25, 2007. Benten Entertainment Inc. from Japan also has posed interest in Pahuyut: Fighting Beat and Me Myself as well.
Mono Film met for the first time a company representing the Middle Eastern territories called Ghassan Production & Distribution who showed interest in several Mono Film titles stating that the companies line-up should work for the younger audience in the Middle Eastern countries including The Gig 1 & Gig Number 2, Vengeance, Sudsakorn, & Me Myself along with Mono Film’s upcoming theatrical releases of Pahuyut & Siyama.
Overall, Mono Film’s participation in the Asian Film Market opened new doors with Korean companies that could pave the way to new business opportunities.

Star Summit Asia 2007 ceremony
Set on the 2nd floor of the Grand Hotel Haeundae on October 9th, 2007, the second annual Star Summit Asia 2007 recognizing the up and coming young actors from the Asian territories included Ananda Everingham of Mono Film’s romantic drama Me Myself. Ananda, representing Thailand, was the first of several young stars to hit the stage and presented with a trophy recognizing his past works.

Me Myself’s theatrical release in Malaysia
Mono Film’s well received unordinary love story Me Myself directed by Pongpat Wachirabunjong was scheduled for a theatrical release in Malaysia on August 9, 2007. Mono Film accompanied young actor Ananda Everingham, (who plays the role of TAN in the film), to Malaysia in the care of UIP for a series of TV show appearances, radio station interviews, and a press conference to promote the film.
Among the promotional events that took place on August 7, 2007 included :
• a guest spot appearance on the TV program THE BREAKFAST SHOW that aired live on a the local TV channel NTV7;
• a TV show called QUICKIE that aired live on local channel 8TV;
• a radio interview session for SURIA FM;
• a couple of phone interviews with Singapore Press;
• and an official press conference held in the Function Room at TGV KLCC in Malaysia where over 50 reps from Malaysia’s magazine, TV, and website industries all had a Q&A session about the actor and the film Me Myself.
The promo tour in Malaysia proved a success as Ananda Everingham acted as the film’s representative in spreading the word about this delicate, yet issue-raising love story. Mono Film hopes that love will fill the hearts of all Malaysian viewers with warmth as did with its Thai audience!

Me…Myself opens for the 40th anniversary of ASEAN film festival ceremony.
In honor of this special evening’s event celebrating 40 years since the development of the ASEAN organization (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), Mono Film’s unordinary love story Me…Myself directed by Pongpat Wachirabunjong was selected as the film to open the ASEAN ceremony during the Bangkok International Film Festival 2007.
The evening was hosted on the 7th floor of Central World’s SF Cinema amidst a crowd of ASEAN ambassadors, local and international journalists, and other VIP guests that attended.
Me…Myself’s director, Pongpat Wachirabunjong and main cast including Ananda Everingham and (Amm)-Chayanan Manomaisantiphap were honored and presented each with an elegant arrangement of flowers by an ASEAN representative while the director spoke a few words thanking the committee for selecting Me…Myself as the film to open the evening’s event and invited all VIP guests to enjoy the film screened in Cinema 7 immediately following.
The evening ended with a group photo shot of all the ASEAN representatives and VIP guest including the team from Me…Myself and the Vietnamese film The Rebel.

Mono Film at the Red Carpet Opening Ceremony for the 5th Annual Bangkok International Film Festival 2007
Mono Film Co., Ltd. came full throttle for the red carpet event of the 5th Annual Bangkok International Film Festival on July 19, 2007 at the new Central World Shopping Complex.
Representing Mono Film was the cast from their next film release THE GIG #2 in late September, a wild and wacky sequel to the original film THE GIG last year about a group of university students’ wild adventures while in pursuit of love including (Mmie) - Mudhthanitar Sawedwiththayatadakul; (Boong) - Nutthachart Chankan; Peerapon Senakun; Nakarin Kulkalyadee; Thanathon Sawaskorn; Pongratee Charean; (Toon)-Chureerat Usawalabsakul; and (Jan)-Matchime Jindaruk.
Mono Film also presented their main cast from their next martial arts flick PAHUYUT: FIGHTING BEAT including Thun Thanakorn; (Mok) Nuttanan Juntarawet; (A) - Perawatch Herabutya; and Micky Novaki.
Me…Myself was represented by (Amm) - Chayanan Manomaisantiphap.
Mono Film executives included Managing Director, Jirun Ratthanaviriyachai and (Jack)-Bannasit Rakwong along with Pahuyut: Fighting Beat’s director Piti Chaturaphat.

Mono Film set up booth for the Bangkok Film Market 2007
Mono Film marked its third year in attendance for the annual Bangkok Film Market 2007 that was held in the Royal Paragon Hall 3. The company greeted buyers and visitors at the door with a booth location right at the main entrance of the Hall. The company brought their full film line-up consisting of a total of 10 titles with 4 more in development. A market screening of My…Myself was held on July 24th in screening room #4.
The Mono Film International Relations department was represented by Rachel Prapeimporn Jamawatr- Asst. to Managing Director & International Relations Supervisor along with International Relations Officers (Meemi)- Ornanong Athadthawaree & (Vicky) Matavee Veerasumrit. Cannes 2007
Marche du Film Market :
Mono Film attended the Marche du Film this year in a new office location up in the Riviera as H-1 this year near the Buyer’s Lounge.
The ten day market proved fruitful for the young company with new clients from Turkey, India, C.I.S., Hungary, Italy, UK, and North America along with sales by continuous clients from the past from Germany and Southeast Asia. Sales were closed equally among old library titles and new projects up and coming including the company’s new animation project called Life of Buddha.
Me…Myself market screening :
Me…Myself was the title Mono Film came to promote at the market by holding a market screening on Day 5 of the market in the Riviera 2 theater and displaying the film’s artwork on the cover of Hollywood Reporter’s Day 3 dailies. The company was accompanied by the film’s director, producer, and main cast to help promote the film.
The screening turned out a success since the small 60+seated theater was full and viewers came out with many compliments.
 

Mono Film’s Villa Party :
Once again, Mono Film hosted a villa party for their clients as a way of saying “Thank You” for all of the continued support of the company’s film projects. The party was held in an extravagant villa up in the hills of Cannes overlooking the tiny city’s sea view.
Along with all of its clients, new and old, Mono Film’s up and coming stars had attended the party entertaining all the VIP guests. The evening started out by registering at the door greeted by a welcome drink and an aromas whiff of the Thai buffet dinner that awaited all the hungry guests. A brief welcome speech made by Asst. to MD & International Relations Supervisor, Rachel Prapeimporn Jamawatr was followed by a short VTR presentation about Mono Film.
The evening turned out a success with nothing but smiles and compliments from all the attending guests commenting that Mono Film’s parties “are so distinguished from the hustle-bustle of all the other parties in Cannes because the atmosphere is quite mellow and relaxing.”

Mono Film attends HK Filmart 2007
This past March 19-23, Mono Film traveled to Hong Kong for the company’s 4th year in attending the Filmart.
This year’s booth location of K11, K13 deemed to be a perfect location compared to years past since Mono Film was right in the center, second aisle down of the exhibition hall.
Mono Film brought new projects to HK Filmart including Pahuyut : Fighting Beat, their newly anticipated martial arts film to be release sometime later this year.
This year, the company did rather well in sales with new clients thus expanding their international network to new territories like Poland.
Screen International also covered a story about the sold remake rights of the film Me…Myself to Korea, a first time remake deal closed in which Korea has bought a Thai film to remake.
